  • New MG ZS EV has a range of up to 273 miles (439km) on the WLTP Combined cycle from a single charge and a range of 370 miles (595 km) on the City Driving Cycle from a single charge. 

  • New MG ZS EV, with its 51.1kWh battery, can be charged from 0-100% in 8 hours using a 7kW home charger, or alternatively, using a 50kW public charging station, it takes approximately 54 minutes to charge to 80%.

    New MG ZS EV Long Range, with its 72.6kWh battery, can be charged from 0-100% in 10.5 hours using a 7kW home charger, or alternatively, using a 50kW public charging station, it takes approximately 1 hour 3 minutes to charge to 80%.

  • MG5 EV Long Range has a range of 250 miles (402 km) on the WLTP Combined cycle from a single charge and a range of 334 miles (538 km) on the City Driving Cycle from a single charge.

  • MG5 EV Long Range can be charged from 0-100% in 9.5 hours using a 7kW home charger, or alternatively, using a 50kW public charging station, it takes approximately 61 minutes to charge to 80%.

  • MG5 EV Long Range and New MG ZS EV support both Type 2 connector (for slow and fast charging) and CCS connector (for rapid charging).

  • MG5 EV Long Range and New MG ZS EV come with a 13A home charger with domestic plug. To improve home charging speed, you will need to invest in a 7kW AC single phase home charger / wall box. The recommended home chargers for MG5 EV Long Range and New MG ZS EV are the Rolec Wallpod:EV Homesmart or Pod-Point Solo Smart Charger. To use public charging stations, you may need a charge-card specific to the provider and charging station type.

     

What is the
Government plug-in car grant?

This is a government grant provided by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) for qualifying low emissions cars. New MG ZS EV (excluding New MG ZS EV Trophy and Trophy Connect Long Range) and MG5 EV Long Range are fully approved by OZEV as a qualifying car and therefore will be awarded a subsidy from the government towards the OTR price of the vehicle. The dealer or retailer should apply for the Plug-in Car Grant directly on your behalf should you consider buying a New MG ZS EV or MG5 EV Long Range.
